Caney Mountain

Caney Mountain Horse Camp offers horseback riders some of the finest, most varied, and spectacular riding opportunities in the Ozarks.  The camp is surrounded by the Sylamore National Forest, Lower Buffalo Wilderness Area, and Leatherwood Wilderness Area.
Central location offers year-round riding opportunities for riders of all skill levels with direct access to scenic trails from the campground.  Ride on beautiful forest trails and old logging roads.  View the scenic creeks, bluffs, rims, and overlooks.  Ride past springs, waterfalls, caves, as well as the Buffalo River.  Each season offers ever changing scenery with beautiful mountain views, rock bluffs, wildflowers, and wildlife.

Caney Mountain Horse Camp is accessed by Forest Service maintained gravel roads that can accommodate large horse trailers.
The campground has plenty of room to manuever trailers.
Horse pens are set up at each campsite.
